Each year West Country Concertina Players offer two residential weekends of concertina playing at Kilve Court, Kilve, West Somerset.
In March WCCP hold their weekend for players of all systems of concertina, from intermediate to advanced playing standard. Invited tutors are at hand for taking the various workshops to include, playing technique, song accompaniment, band playing and concertina repair/maintenance.
A beginner’s weekend is held in October at Kilve Court, designed for absolute beginners through to players who have reached an intermediate level. Click here for a view of the Kilve October weekend by one of our beginners, Mike Stevens. The weekend workshops offer tuition for all systems of concertina, Anglo, Duet and English concertinas. WCCP have a limited number of concertinas available for beginners to use if required.
